As we approach the end of 2018, I am grateful to our staff for their support of all the work YOU do here at Friends Center.
And I’m grateful for your good work, too. The Friends Center community is doing an astounding and outstanding variety of work to make our city, nation, and world a better place. Keep it up!

On Monday, January 14, from 7:30 to 9:00 pm, please join Laura Boyce, associate general secretary for US programs of the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC), in the Barn, for a first-hand report of the situation of migrants from Central America seeking refuge in the United States. She will also inform us of the work AFSC and other faith-based organizations are doing in response to the humanitarian crisis developing along the border with Mexico.

One Quilt, One Yearly Meeting
Quilts, Quilts and oh yeah more Quilts! Check out this short skit launched by PYM’s community engagement team promoting Friends Quilts. The project was birthed at Continuing Sessions in November of this year.

The Mexican tradition of “La Fiesta de la Posada” recreates Joseph and Mary’s search for a room at an inn-a universal story of faith, community, and the joy of sharing. The second half features jazz with Presbybop, playing holiday favorites!
